In a massive increase from last year's event, almost 450 riders took to their bikes to be part of the 5th Petersfield Ups and Downs charity bike ride. A great day was had by all and we had perfect weather to allow everyone to enjoy their ride and for all the fair-weather riders to decide to turn up on the day! We have already had great feedback from some riders and we are happy you had as good as time as you have said.

We would like to thank all the people that helped make this ride another great success. Not only did the Petersfield Round Table members play their part but alot of us brought along wives and girlfriends to help run the registration tent and take photographs. We had help from local scouts and girl guides giving people much needed refreshment throughout the route, as well as the usual help from ex-Table, 41 club and Rotary in marshalling the course plus prospective member and volunteers.

Our sponsors made a great contribution this year and helped us raise in the region of £3,000 for the Round Table charity fund as well as the estimated £10,000 raised for the other charities that the riders themselves raised money for. We would like to thank Agincourt Contractors, Owens Cycles, Picketts and Pursers, Petaprint and the Square Brewery.

It may seem too early to mention, but why not think about entering a team for next years ride?? We had many team entries this year and they all helped to raise thousands of pounds for their organisations and teams. What a great way to raise money, cycling through the beautiful local countryside... we look forward to seeing you all next year!
